The most easy and efficient way to make log file is to use 3CSyslog (to make log-file) http://www.cardsharing.cc/index.php?topic=21154.0

Readme:
For dreambox and linux based receivers

Download and install 3CSyslog software:
http://rapidshare.com/files/221316581/3CSyslog.zip

If MgCamd EMU is used:
Open mg_cfg file and set

L: { 01 } 192.168.1.0 514 value


If camd3 EMU is used:

Open camd3.config file
Find and change the following entries:

# Host fьr UDP-logging
LOG_HOST=192.168.1.0

# Port fьr UDP-logging(optional); Default ist 514
LOG_PORT=514


If evocamd EMU is used:
Open camd_cfg file
L: { 00 } 192.168.1.0 514

Warning!!! IP highlighted = IP of the PC used to review your log-file.
In other words, with this config, Dreambox will send its log to the port 514 of your computer

No need to make special settings for 3CSyslog software. Just run the software and restart your receiver.
